On Tuesday 30th July, Technical Manager Sam and Technical Demonstrator Kelly attended a full day of training to become Dementia Friend Champions. Sam and Kelly can now deliver Dementia Friend Information Sessions!
The aim of these friendly and interactive sessions are to increase the understanding of dementia and encourage people to think about the small things they can do to make a difference to people affected by dementia in their community.
Sam and Kelly will be assisting senior lecturer in mental health nursing Paul McCreary to deliver information sessions at Bucks New University’s Uxbridge campus for staff & students.
We want to inspire people to join us in becoming Dementia Friends and help to create dementia friendly communities.
